Other choices include photo chromic lenses which changes colors when exposed to the ultra violet rays of the sun. They come with 100% UV protection and allow you to have a pair of glasses. The color choices are gray or brown. Anti-reflective coating can be added to make the lens clear when indoors and then turn into sunglasses when outdoors in direct sunlight. To change the lens color, the sun's UV rays are needed. So, when you are inside your car, the color doesn't change because the car's windshield absorbs the UV rays.
