Sit N Go Strategies - Articles Surfing

Online poker has hit its high point in the US and the rest of the world. There has never been so many online poker players every until this year. Do you know what that means? There is TONS AND TONS of money to be won out there. There are way more horrible players out there than good players. These horrible players are just asking you to take their money.

When you are starting out playing poker online for the first time I suggest you play sit n go's instead of cash games. Must people when starting out usually just deposit 50 dollars, sit down in a cash game, and lose it in the first few minutes. If this sounds like you, I suggest you quit playing cash games and losing your money and start investing in online poker tournament sit n go's.

The best sit n go holdem strategy? That depends on what type of player you are. If you have no patience, I am sorry I can't help you. Now if you have patience please listen up. Now before I begin, most people ask which is the best poker guide? Well my friend, experience is the best poker guide. There is absolutely nothing like experience!

Now if you are new to sit and go's, here is the rules and breakdown.

1st place = 50% of the total prize pool
2nd place = 30% of the total prize pool
3rd place = 20% of the total prize pool

As you can plainly see, your goal will be trying to survive first place out of 9 people. It is indeed possible with the right poker strategy.

I am a firm believer of patience. If you aren't getting hands, fold. Don't try to get impatient and play garbage hands because you are bored or feel pressured that you need to make a move because other players have more chips than you. The blinds are so low, you have so much time to catch up to the other players and take down first.

Now the secret to taking down first is simple in sit and go tournament strategy. Play tight throughout until there is 4 players left. Once there is 4 players left, this is your time to shine! You are going to need to switch from playing tight throughout the whole tournament, to playing aggressive. When there is 4 players left, many players (95%) of them will just sit there and fold any hand they have no matter how great it is, just waiting to make it to the money. Once they make it to the money, then their game completely changes. Before their game switches to aggressive, you need to be aggressive before they do. By being aggressive when your on the bubble, you will cushion your chip stack just enough to take down first place. There is absolutely no better feeling than taking down first place over and over again, earning enough for a brand new car or house! It is all possible now with online texas holdem.
