If you need a home cure for head louse, don't worry. Getting rid of an infestation of head parasites may be a nuisance but it's not difficult if you use the right treatment. With the ever growing number of head lice infections, there has been a lot of work done on controlling these pests.

These creepy-crawly insects can definitely be a problem for the person infection but are seldom, if even dangerous to their health. These pests are a nuisance and can cause itchy scalp, bleeding sores, and head irritation but are generally considered harmless. Unlike other parasites, these insects do not carry disease or transfer illness causing blood borne disease.

The number of ways all the products and remedies offer to help get rid of the problem can be huge. In the end however, they all work basically to kill off the parasites in 1 of only 4 major ways. These include insecticide based products, mechanical methods, essential oil products and home grown remedies.

3. Use essential oil shampoos. These are the best alternative way of treating a head pest problem. No need to worry about the poison and it works. The only thing about this is that you will probably need to shampoo several times to make certain everything has died and is gone. Not a big deal because the ingredients are safe and effective for use on people. Essential oil shampoos also usually provide relief for the itching by naturally treating the sores that cause the person to scratch.

4. Use a home remedy option. These are the food product method of trying to deal with head pediculosis. Pediculosis is the dollar word for a head lice infestation.

In any event, home remedies suggest putting mayonnaise, peanut butter, grease, etc. etc. on the infected head, leaving it on for 8-10 hours, then trying to clean off the mess only to repeat if necessary. Overall, even if they work they're usually so difficult to successfully use these home cures are at best, a poor home cure for head louse strategy.

If your infestation is mild, it's possible that simply using a nit comb will be enough to act as your home cure for head louse that will end the pest problem. Miss even one egg however and be prepared to again fight the problem. Consider that only one category of products, the essential oil products have the best opportunity to get rid of the problem without using poisons. Overall a good choice.
