Is There An Acne Natural Cure? - Articles Surfing

Natural medicine has been known to be very beneficial to man for a very long time. In fact, it has been shown, that without a balance of natural minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients, we could not survive. There are also a number of things that are known to help provide an acne natural cure.

While acne is largely caused by excessive skin oils and the bacteria that eats that oil, a degree of control can be obtained simply by keeping your face and hair clean, in milder cases. This is important, as well as the right diet. Some foods are thought to aggravate acne, so it is a good idea to watch your diet and find out if there is a pattern between what you eat and breakouts of acne.

Watch And Limit The Following Foods

' Iodine-rich foods like shellfish, cheeses, liver, and iodized salt.
' Excessive sugar intakes
' Oily foods & meats - pork
' Containing trans-fatty acids - milk, milk products, margarine, and those that contain synthetically hydrogenated vegetable oils, and fried foods.

Natural Substances

Here are a few that are effective in obtaining that acne natural cure.

Azelaic Acid

This acid that is naturally occurring has shown very good results equal to benzoyl peroxide, Retin-A, or oral tetracycline, when used in a 20% cream. This is effective in treating all forms of acne. Having fewer side effects makes it a better choice for the duration. It can take up to four weeks to show any significant effect.

Sulfur Containing Products

Products containing sulfur have been used to treat skin problems for literally thousands of years. Being that it is a topical antiseptic, it is very good for this purpose. Although not quite as good as benzoyl peroxide, yet it is still very good and approved by the FDA. Many acne medications contain sulfur for this reason, about 3-10%, and show good results.

Pantothenic Acid

This acid has been shown to be effective as an acne natural cure, at rather high doses - about ten grams per day. Studies have shown it to work rather quickly against acne, by reducing the amount of skin oil.

Zinc

As an acne natural cure, zinc is a very important nutrient needed to bring about stabilization in the body. It is important to the balance of testosterone levels in the body, which can definitely spur on an increase in pimples. It also works to strengthen the immune system and brings about inflammation control.

In addition to these, to help in your acne natural cure, the following minerals and vitamins are also needed: Vitamin A; chromium, vitamin E, selenium, vitamin B6, and pantothenic acid. Most of these can be found in a natural foods store.
