There are so many different types of cushions available on the market today it is sometimes hard to know which ones to go for. So just how do you choose the perfect cushion? Well, it all depends on the color of your room, as well as the sofa.

Do you have a certain theme in your living room where the sofa is kept? For example, many people like an unusual, slightly African theme with plenty of rich reds and plenty of patterns around the room. However, if your room is a more sophisticated color, and the design is minimal, plain cushions may be more you're kind of thing, or simple patterned ones. Creams and light browns seem to be the in color of the moment so that may help you in your search for the perfect color!

Another thing to think about is what fabric would you like the cushion to be made out of? Silk cushions for example may look better in a bedroom, whilst cotton and tapestry cushions would look a lot better in a living room. There are plenty of designs to choose from and each has their own advantages and disadvantages.

You can really let your imagination run wild as it is a symbol of your taste and you have the final say in what goes into your home.
